Make Your Audience Comfortable: Make Strong Choices
Saturday, January 27 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm$49
Everyone wants to get laughs on stage. But being needy for laughs turns an audience off. Audiences want to sit back, relax and be taken care of by strong, confident performers. Oftentimes, for the sake of the laugh, improvisers will create wacky and completely implausible scenarios. We forget that real situations and real relationships are actually the funniest. They ring true which is what brings the humor. It actually takes less effort to get truer laughs.
In this workshop Anoo Tree Brod will teach the art of complete confidence on stage and full commitment to each action and choice so that you can make your audience relaxed and ready to laugh. You don’t have to work so hard on stage. Don’t worry, your knees can shake, your voice can tremble, and yet you can still be the most confident and committed improviser on stage. Come find out how!
(Bonus: Confidence and commitment on stage makes those qualities naturally blossom off stage as well).
