Lauren Faber is a feral comedian who was raised in a basement by the 90’s comedy specials of Ellen Degeneres, Paula Poundstone and Elvira Kurt. (She didn’t see the connection for a while…) She has yet to accept that you can make things up on stage, so this delightful depressive can be seen mortifying her mother at clubs, colleges, and festivals all over the country.

In 2016 she won the titles of Carolina’s Funniest Comic and NYC’s She-Devil. She’s performed in numerous festivals including Limestone Comedy Festival, Laugh Your Asheville Off, 10,000 Laughs (Best of the Best), Hell Yes Fest, Women in Comedy, Cinder Block, All Jane, Cape Fear, Scruffy City, Charm City (Headliner), and Highlarious.

Lauren has featured for Alice Wetterlund at the Comedy Attic and Chad Daniels at Goodnights. She’s shared the stage with Mary Mack, Beth Stelling, Aparna Nancherla, Janelle James, Godfrey, Jim Breuer, Dan Cummins, and Phil Hanley, and appeared with Maria Bamford on WUNC’s the State of Things.

When Lauren isn’t on stage, she can be found managing international development research at a university in Durham, NC with a very famous basketball team that she cares nothing about. She has two cats, Stetson and Kennedy, and likes one of them. They were a gift. Don’t do that.
